Mission Statement:
“Our mission is to nourish and support every Dayton ISD student by providing safe, nutritious, and great-tasting meals each school day. We are committed to welcoming service, high standards of food safety, and efficient operations, all while promoting healthy habits that help students learn, grow, and thrive. Through strong partnerships with families, campuses, and our community, we ensure all students have equitable access to the meals they need to be successful.”
Motto:
“Feeding Broncos, Fueling Minds”
About us:
Dayton ISD Child Nutrition is proud to serve students nutritious, appealing meals that fuel learning and support overall wellness. Our team is dedicated to creating a positive cafeteria experience where every student feels welcome and cared for, from the first breakfast bell to the last lunch period.
For the 2025–2026 school year, Dayton ISD will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which means every student can receive one breakfast and one lunch each school day at no cost. No applications are needed, and meals are available to all enrolled students.
Behind the scenes, our department works year-round to plan balanced menus that meet USDA nutrition standards, prioritize food safety, and continuously improve service across our campuses. We value feedback from students and families and are always looking for ways to make school meals even better.
Whether we’re serving familiar favorites or introducing new menu items, our goal is simple: healthy meals, happy students, and a stronger school community.
