Referendum Breakdown

The following breakdown shows the cost projections for the projects that were discussed by the Community Advisory Committee (CAC). They recommended the projects listed below to the Board, and this is what was included in the referendum.

POTENTIAL SOLUTIONS 

    1. Construct two (2) new K-5 Elementary Schools (repeat Kimmie Brown) room for growth (including land)
    2. Reconfigure Kimmie Brown to K-5 
    3. Reconfigure Woodrow Wilson to 6-8 
    • Upgrades to the existing HVAC system 
    • Replace domestic water lines throughout the building 
    • Install new aluminum canopy at drop-off to Life Skills 
    • Construct 30 classrooms, office area, practice gym and locker room for a 6th Grade Center 
    • Convert the shop area into a 6th Grade dining room (adjacent to kitchen)

    1. Convert existing covered area into maintenance bays for autos and small machinery
    2. Construct maintenance bays for buses (6 bays). The existing building will house offices, etc.
    3. Demolish the old Kindergarten building
    4. Miscellaneous renovations
    5. Concrete parking for 70 buses
    6. New chain-link fencing
    7. Relocate the existing cooler/freezer
    8. Above ground fuel storage (use existing)
    9. Demolition of Richter Elementary School

    1. Construct an Auditorium to seat 850 people 
    2. Construct 6 lighted tennis courts. Provide parking for 50 cars
    3. New practice gym with additional locker rooms 
    4. Construct 8 classrooms and 4 science labs 
    5. Develop an ROTC program (renovated space)
