Dayton High School participated in the Men In Ties Program this past Friday the 24th of April. We had about 33% of our young men participate in the program by wearing ties and dressing up all day. That is about 250 of our 750 young men.  Many of them went the extra mile and wore suits, as well.  This national program is intended to help boost self-esteem and promote awareness of appropriate professional attire for young men. Schools who have participated in this event have seen increased student achievement and decreased discipline reports on the day the young men participate. We received a donation of over 500 ties from Micraygon LLC in Houston. Many of these ties were given to the students who did not have a tie of their own. We are grateful to Micraygon for their contribution to help us provide this learning opportunity for our young men.
