Returning Student Online Registration (RSOR)
The ”window” is now open to complete Returning Student Online Registration (RSOR). Dayton ISD implemented this procedure last year to assist parents in completing the required “first day forms” packet quickly and easily, and it was a huge success – – both for parents and for school personnel. We are continuing (and even expanding!) the process this year!
Parents will log into their Family Access account to complete the Returning Student Online Registration process. (You can CLICK HERE to go to Family Access.) Parents who do not know their Family Access username and password should contact their child’s campus or the Technology Department (at 258.2667) for Family Access account assistance.
The window for online registration will be open from May 1 – July 4, 2019. During this time frame, parents can go online and update their emergency contact info and complete all of the required forms for the 19-20 school year.
A new addition to RSOR is the ability for parents to provide Proof of Residency by uploading a copy of a current utility bill. Parents who complete RSOR and upload a copy of a qualifying bill will NOT have to attend a PoR event in person this year. For those parents who are unable (or choose not) to upload their bill statement, they will be required to attend one of the three scheduled PoR events before school starts and provide statements at that time.
The three Proof of Residency events will be held at DHS. Dates and times are as follows:
*July 30 from 3 pm – 7 pm
*July 31 from 9 am – 1 pm
*August 1 from 3 pm -7 pm
We continue to strive to make our processes easier and more convenient while still meeting the TEA requirements for our district. We have had great feedback on this new, totally online process. If you any have questions, feel free to contact the DISD Technology Department at 936.258.2667.
