Returning Student Online Registration (RSOR)
The ”window” for Returning Student Online Registration (RSOR) will be open July 20 – July 31, 2020. Dayton ISD previously implemented this online procedure to assist parents in completing the required “first day forms” packet quickly and easily, and it was a huge success – – both for parents and for school personnel. Last year, we added the ability to upload residency verification documents so that parents would not have to attend the face-to-face PoR events. This could not have come at a better time as we are prepared this year for a totally online RSOR/PoR experience! In light of social distancing practices and the limit on face-to-face activities, this procedure is a must!
All returning students must complete RSOR and PoR in order to be enrolled for the 20-21 school year. Failure to complete the forms and upload proof of residency will mean that students will be unenrolled in August and parents will have to complete a new enrollment process to begin school the 20-21 school year.
To complete RSOR/PoR, parents will log into their Family Access account. There, they will find a link to get them started. (You can CLICK HERE to go to Family Access.) If you have forgotten your username and/or password, simply click the “Forgot Your Login/Password” link and a reset link will be emailed to you. If this does not work, parents can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will get in touch.
The window for Returning Student Online Registration will be open from July 20-31, 2020. During this time frame, parents can go online and update their emergency contact info, complete all of the required forms for the 20-21 school year, and can upload a copy of their utility bill to provide residency verification. Acceptable utility bills include Internet, cable, satellite, water, gas and trash. Cell phone bills are not acceptable. Additionally, please make sure the service location (physical address, not just the mailing address) AND the resident’s name are both visible. If you do not have any bills in your name, you may upload a Residency Affidavit along with the utility bill in the name of the district resident with whom you live or who pays your utility bills.
