Returning Student Online Registration
Dayton ISD is implementing a new procedure for 18-19 to assist parents in completing the required “first day forms” packet quickly and easily! This summer, parents will be able to go ONLINE and complete all forms. Our “test parents” are reporting that the entire process is taking just over 5 minutes per student, and that they LOVE this new process!
Parents will log into their Family Access account to complete the Returning Student Online Registration. Parents who do not know their Family Access username and password should contact their child’s campus ASAP to get that info before the end of this school year. (If parents do not have an email address, please contact the Technology Department at 258.2667 for Family Access account assistance.)
The window for online registration will open on June 4th and will remain open until July 6th. During that time frame, parents can go online and update their emergency contact info and complete all of the required forms for the 18-19 school year.
Parents of returning students will then attend one of the three Proof of Residency events (July 26, July 31 or Aug 1) to provide a copy of a current utility bill. If you have copies of your bill showing the parent’s name and the service address, there will be no other required stations to visit this year! Bring your proof of residency, turn it in, verify that online registration is complete, and enjoy the rest of your day!! (Click here for more info about our PoR schedule.)
Again, we are trying to simplify the process and make it easier than ever for our parents while still meeting the TEA requirements for our district. While change is sometimes difficult, we feel strongly that this new process will greatly benefit our parents and our staff. If you any have questions, feel free to contact the DISD Technology Department at 936.258.2667.
