The PSAT will be given on Wednesday October 11 from periods 1-6. Students wll finish testing at the end of 5th period or sometime during 6th period and will either go to lunch immediately or wait for their regularly scheduled lunch, depending on when testing finishes. Students should bring sharpened #2 pencils (not mechanical) and a calculator to testing. Food and drinks are NOT allowed (PSAT guidelines).
The ASVAB test wlll be given on Wednesday October 25 to interested juniors and seniors. Sign up in the AP’s office. The ASVAB is the military entrance test, but it is also a career exploration test. Student scores are not released to recruiters without the student’s permission.
Students who were supposed to graduate under TAKS: the TAKS test is no longer being offered. We are waiting on guidance from the Texas Education Agency to see what these students need to do in order to receive their high school diploma. ***Check back here for more information.
Check out the Useful Links tab or your student’s campus homepage for instructions on how to access STAAR scores online. The state is moving away from paper copies.
Take a look at the district calendar – all testing dates are being updated for 2017-18, including all STAAR tests, SAT, PSAT, ASVAB, ACT, and AP exams.
