Jazz Band

Ensemble is open to any high school marching/concert band student who

plays the saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, guitar, or drum set. 

It is a performing group that plays pieces in the jazz idiom. 

Music Theory

Theory is for those interested in self improvement for performing music

as an avocation or for those considering music as a career. First semester is devoted to

general music understanding, including the physical nature of music production, Key Signatures

appreciation with transposition and arranging for instruments, and an introduction to beginning

composition and Harmony.

Band I-IV

Members of the band calls for daily rehearsals of the preparation of music

for the carious events in which the band participates.  Band is a performance oriented

course, and participation includes attendance throughout the year at a variety of

performances. As many as 3 concerts, 5 competitions, 15 athletic events, and

3 parades may be planned.
