
Theater Arts/Drama I
This is an introductory course offered to anyone who not taken drama before.
Students will learn basic theater terminology, participate
in several group acting
projects as well as solo performances. With complete written reflections. Students
will write and direct a short play which they will perform in class.
Technical Theater
This is an introductory course that focuses on technical aspects of theater rather
than acting itself. Students will study the fundamentals of the stage craft including set design
lighting, sound, costumes, and make up. Students will be expected to complete
performance reviews,
a group design project and at least 5 production hours.
Advanced Acting
Students must have completed drama I in order to take this class.
Students will work on auditions pieces and study scenes from both modern and
classical plays. Students will also have the opportunity to attend competitions hosted
by high schools in our region. Students will complete two performances reviews and
participate in at least one public performance.
