- All current Dayton ISD substitute teachers and anyone interested in becoming a substitute must attend a mandatory Substitute Teacher Training class. The class is being offered three different days and four different times. Session one is September 17th from 9-12, Session two is September 17th from 1-4, Session three is October 12th from 6-9, and Session 4 is October 15th from 9-12. All classes will meet at the Dayton ISD Administration Building. If you are interested in continuing or becoming a substitute teacher for Dayton ISD, you can register for the classes on the Dayton ISD website. If you do not have internet access you can come by the Administration Building and sign up or call the Administration Building at 936-258-2667 to reserve you spot.

Dayton Independent School District adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by two percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $0.00.
