ParentCONNECTxp, also referred to as simply ParentCONNECT or
PCXP, provides parents with a great way to keep in touch with
their child's academic progress. It uses a web interface and is
password protected. By accessing the site, a parent can see current
averages, grades and assignments contributing to those averages,
discipline referrals, health information and upcoming assignments.
Additionally, parents can sign up to be notified via email if
their child receives a failing grade or a discipline referral.
Back
Currently, DISD is only providing this service for parents
of students who are in grades 4 through 12. Currently,
this program is being implemented at Kimmie M. Brown Elementary
School, Nottingham Middle School, Wilson Junior High School, and
Dayton High School.
Back
The only way to register and receive a username and password
is to attend an orientation session. Notices of upcoming orientation
sessions will be publicized well in advance so that parents can
make plans to attend.
Parents only need to attend orientation once. As their children
move on to the next campus or grade level, the PCXP information
will follow them.
