About Dayton

Dayton is a community that places education as a top priority. Dayton ISD takes pride in the fact that parents, business people, and educators alike work together to provide the best possible education for the students. Dayton is a very large school district in Southeast Texas that encompasses 248 square miles in Liberty County. Less than one hour from downtown Houston, Dayton is about halfway between Houston and Beaumont. Several major highways cut through town, including State Highway 90 and FM 1960.
