Jun 1 - Teacher Workday
Jun 2 - Dayton High School Graduation at 3p.m. at the Montagne Center in Beaumont.
Jun 4 - Algebra I teachers planning and resource development meeting at 9:00 a.m. in the Teacher's Lounge in the 100 hall with Maria May.
Jun 4-8 - Boys basketball camp for all students currently in kindergarten thru the 8th grade. Contact Geoff McCracken for further information.
Jun 5 - School Board Budget Workshop at 7:00 p.m. at the Admin Building Board Room.
Jun 4&5 - DHS World History Teachers summer planning and curriculum development meeting in the computer lab at DHS.
Jun 7&8 - DHS World Geography Teachers summer planning and curriculum development meeting in the computer lab at DHS.
Jun 11-13 - DHS Science Department Teachers summer planning and curriculum development meeting from 8-3. Check with Donna McClaugherty for location.
Jun 11-13 - WJH Language Arts Teachers summer planning and curriculum development meeting from 8-3:30. Location TBA.
June 19 - Regular School Board Meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Admin Building Board Room.
Jun 30 - Atomic Learning subscription expires. Our subscription expires at the end of June, so take advantage of this wonderful resource before it disappears!
Jul 17 - 2nd Annual conference for Teachers of Young Students (PK - 1st) sponsored by Region 4. This conference will be at the Berry Center, 8877 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress, Texas from 8:30 - 3:30. Registration fee is $70. Registration ID is 45593. Interested teachers may register online at www.theansweris4.net or contact the C&I Office.
Jul 31 - TEKSING TOWARD TAKS workshop for 6th grade math teachers. Time 8:30-3:30. Location at Wilson Junior High.
Aug 1 - TEKSING TOWARD TAKS workshop for 7th grade math teachers. Time 8:30-3:30. Location at Wilson Junior High.
Aug 1 - Fish Camp for incoming freshmen students from 9-12 in the DHS gym.
Aug. 2 - TEKSING TOWARD TAKS workshop for 8th grade math teachers. Time 8:30-3:30. Location at Wilson Junior High.
Aug 2 - Parent Orientation for incoming freshmen students at 7p.m. in the DHS gym.
Aug 2 - G/T Update with Kevin Tutt. Time 8:30-3:00 at the Wilson Junior High Library. This workshop is for all teachers of G/T students. Please email Mary Ellen or Dorrie to register. This is the only workshop the district will provide for the REQUIRED 6-hour update for school year 2007-2008. You will be on your own if you are unable to attend this workshop.
Aug. 7 - Elementary Teacher Mentor Training to be held at Tarkington ISD. Time is 9-12. Location TBA. More details will be forthcoming.
Aug. 7 - MANDT Recertification Training with Steve Bell, Grezelda Ligons and Travis Young at the Dayton High School Lecture Room 428 from 8:00-3:00. Training is only one day, so choose the 7th or 8th. Email Denise Blalock to sign up. If you have been through a MANDT training in the past year, you must complete recertification on or before the date of your last training.

Aug. 15 - Book and Brain Parts 1 & 2 at Wilson Junior High from 8:00-3:30. All new-to-the-district teachers must attend, but anyone else who is interested is welcome to attend. Email Dorrie Lang at the C&I Office to sign up.
